European project manager
The European Projects Manager (EPM) will collaborate with the scientific coordinator to guarantee that UPWEARS activities adhere to the Grant and Consortium Agreements. The EPM's
responsibilities will encompass organizational, administrative, financial, and legal oversight of the project.
Context
The Horizon Europe Framework Programme 101130741 – UPWEARS project is financed by the European Commission. UPWEARS endeavours to create sustainable solutions for advanced smart
wearables, uniting fifteen partners from seven European and international locations..
Activities
- Aid the coordinator in overseeing project implementation.
- Manage internal consortium communication (e.g., information dissemination) and external
-ommunication (e.g., content for the public website, social media).
- Arrange consortium meetings (Supervisory Board, General Assembly).
- Coordinate project-related events (training, secondments, workshops, conferences).
- Serve as the intermediary between the European Commission and the consortium.
- Support partners with project administrative tasks, ensuring adherence to HORIZON EUROPE
framework programme rules and administrative procedures.
_ Ensure each partner prepares and submits justification documents in advance of potential audits.
_ Guarantee compliance with grant agreement and consortium agreement obligations.
- Monitor deliverable production and contribute to activity report drafting.
- Track expenses (fund transfers, budget updates, financial summary balance sheets).
- Coordinate the preparation, consolidation, and submission of financial reports in collaboration
with the INRAE Finance Unit, meeting European Commission deadlines
Role stationed at the INRAE BIA research unit in Nantes, with frequent collaboration with the INRAE Pays de la Loire Finance and Partnership units. Travel within Europe will be required.
Four-year fixed-term contract at level IE
Training and skills
Completion of Master's degree (or equivalent) with training in European project management. Proficient understanding of European Commission management regulations within the Horizon EUROPE program. Familiarity with operational regulations and administrative procedures of a French public research organization. Strong grasp of financial and administrative management principles. Language proficiency: English and French |
