Work environment, missions and activities

Junior professorships allow scientists to be recruited for research and teaching projects for a period of 3 years. Then, at the end of this period and after assessment of your scientific merit and professional aptitude, you can be promoted to a permanent position in the body of university professors or research directors.

Nature and purpose of the research project : From an academic point of view, the project aims to gain a better understanding of the molecular determinants of microbiota assembly in cultivated plants. These insights should help to meet the challenges of plant breeding in order to strengthen plant tolerance strategies in the context of climate change.

Nature and purpose of teaching project : The aim will be to introduce the holobiont conceptual framework into agricultural engineering training and to apply it to possible strategies for plant breeding programmes incorporating the microbiota.

Partners : Private partners from the agri-supply sector/agricultural cooperatives and academic partners

The research profile calls for skills in microbial ecology and metabolomics.
