Work environment, missions and activities

You will be welcomed in the unit Toxalim, an INRAE ​​research unit specializing in the study of food contaminants, and the Genotoxicity and Signaling (GS) team. You will have access to the unit's platforms and benefit from a dynamic work environment with recognized expertise.

Your mission will be study the in vitro the cellular effects of protein extracts from microorganisms and plants on innovative cell models. You will characterize the cellular consequences (oxidative stress, genotoxicity, inflammation, etc.). You will interact with all team members and partner teams collaborating on these topics.

You will be more specifically in charge of:

  1. Maintaining cell lines in culture and performing experimental treatments.
  2. Conduction tests to characterize the cellular effects (viability, genotoxicity, etc).
  3. Reporting and presenting experimental results.

Special conditions of activity: 

  • work in cell culture and adaptation to culture conditions (confined environment, staggered hours if necessary).
  • The host laboratory is located in a Restricted Access Zone (ZRR). Recruitment is therefore subject to prior authorization for access, in accordance with current regulations concerning the protection of the nation's scientific and technical potential.

 

Training and skills

Master's degree/Engineering degree

Recommended training: Master in Cell Biology

Desired knowledge: Theoretical knowledge in cell biology, practical knowledge of cell study techniques (viability tests, immunofluorescence)

Appreciated experience: Experience in cell culture is preferred

Skills: Analytical reasoning skills and ability to present results, organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
