Work environment, missions and activities
M1-M2 Research Assistant/Internship in Environmental Economics at TSE: Public policies to internalize the impacts of agriculture on biodiversity
Background and research question:
This internship is part of the project ‘Biodiversity, Pesticides & Public Policies’ (BEES), funded by the ANR under the France 2030 program (reference ANR-24-RRII-0003, EXPLOR'AE program managed by INRAE).
As part of this project, a team of economists at Toulouse School of Economics (TSE-R), as part of France's National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment (INRAE), and the University of Bonn (Germany), aims to contribute to a better understanding of the impact of pesticide-related policies on biodiversity and the environment, as well as on the food value chain.
Main objective of the internship:
The goal of this internship is to identify, discuss, and derive recommendations for potential transformative change interventions in the EU food nexus between biodiversity and agriculture.
The internship will consist of a systematic literature review focused on identifying the impacts of agricultural policies on biodiversity. This review will also explore potential economic mechanisms associated with each policy type. The intern will discuss and derive recommendations based on the literature review.
The internship will draw on the existing work carried out by the researchers involved.
